What an amazing family!

I met the most amazing family in August.  They were vacationing in Hilton Head and were referred to me by Nancy Presley, their realtor and friend. (Thanks Nancy!)  There were 10 people at the shoot including 4 young children and bedtime was fast approaching. Needless to say, the shoot could have been a tough one but it turned out to be one of my favorites of the year!

This family was so sweet and full of love for each other.  The kids were happy and so, so cute!  We took a few posed shots but mostly they just played on the beach while I snapped away.

I hope these will be memories that they will always treasure!

Twins

Didn't you always want to have a twin when you were little? Someone you could share your deepest, darkest secrets with; someone who would love you no matter what? Sure, I had a sister but being that she was 2 years older than me, the only secret that she wanted to share with me was that I annoyed her.

Recently I photographed a set of twins who made me wish I had a twin all over again! These beautiful girls are seven years-old and missing 4 front teeth between them. Although they are completely different in looks and personality, they share a special bond. It's a twin thing I guess. Their love and patience for each other is evident and they just seem to melt together when they're laughing and playing.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from their shoot. Enjoy!

What are little boys made of?

I discovered the answer to this question at a recent Forsyth Park shoot. Timmy and Joey are the exceptionally cute 2 and 1 year-olds that I photographed. They are everything that little boys are supposed to be; rough, tough, joyful and busy. The moment that these little ones were released from their stroller, the race began (in different directions, of course). Luckily I was wearing comfortable shoes and was able to capture their play with airplanes, buckets, swings and even the water fountain. I also was able to get one (just one) adorable picture of them sitting together.  Even though it was only one picture of them sitting together, I consider it a win.

So what is the answer to the age-old question, "What are little boys made of?".  It's energy!
